It's done: The shoot of "Jurassic World: Dominion" is finished! After nine months of filming and 40,000 COVID tests, the cast is now visibly relieved in a new set photo.

When the pre-production of "Jurassic World 3: Dominion" began almost exactly a year and a half ago, the creators had no idea how much the filming of the potential mega-blockbuster would demand them. Now at least the most important part of the work is done:

40,000 COVID TESTS AND MILLIONS OF DOLLARS LATER...

In recent months, the Corona pandemic not only caused almost all Hollywood studios to postpone their big films until next year, but also made it more difficult to work on films (and series) that were supposed to be shot in the first place.

The cast and crew members of "Jurassic World 3" lived shielded from the outside world (similar to their colleagues on "Mission: Impossible 7") – in order to be able to finish the film not only as quickly as possible, but also safely.

On the other hand, the pandemic does not have such a strong effect on the upcoming work in post-production, as for effects, music, and the like, just not so many people have to work together in a confined space.

As Deadline reports, a whopping 40,000 Corona tests were taken by people involved in the film during the filming of the new "Jurassic". Not to mention the security protocols, which not only involved a great deal of additional effort, but also additional costs.

The safety precautions and hygiene measures on the set of "Jurassic World 3" is said to have swallowed up millions of dollars. But well, with a mammoth project estimated at 165 million dollars even before the special costs, this is no longer very important...

NEW SNAPSHOT OF SAM NEILL & CO.

Colin Trevorrow shared a new snap from the set to celebrate the day, where you'll see "Jurassic Park" returner Sam Neill as well as newcomers Mamoudou Athie ("Underwater," "Black Box") and DeWanda Wise ("She's Gotta Have It").

In the posting, Trevorrow thanked everyone involved who has become a family for him in recent months. Sam Neill, who shared the post, is also relieved:

"There were days when we thought we wouldn't make it."

"Jurassic World: Dominion" will bring the two series - "Jurassic Park" and "Jurassic World" closer together. In addition to the stars of the sequel series such as Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, there are also several original actors, besides Neill as well as Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum.
