Screenwriter Greg Russo has wanted to make this very clear.

The new adaptation of Mortal Kombat to the cinema will be restricted to people over 18 years old and screenwriter Greg Russo has promised that the iconic fatalities of videogames will reach the big screen for the first time.

In the past the treatment that this franchise has received when jumping to the cinema has not been the one desired by the millions of players with whom the license has around the world, for what the people in charge of the current project want to take charge of making clear that they have caught the point to this ultraviolent universe.

Greg Russo commented on his Twitter profile that they will not cut a hair with violence. At the same time, he affirmed that we will have to wait to see the film to know exactly what fatalities they have decided to show.
