Teddy opens with the story of a doctor who smuggles human organs abroad. Attempts have been made to add technology to such an emotional story. The movie is very emotional in the first part. However, as Sri Vidya's body is being transported abroad, Shiva joins Farin to save her, after which it becomes a movie routine. The film ends with the theme of how Sri Vidya came to her rescue. But the investigative-style elastic narrative is intriguing. Director Shakti Soundar Rajan has tried to tell a different, new story.

In real life, husband and wife Arya and Sayyeshaa played lead roles in the film together. The chemistry between Arya and Sayyeshaa is not visible as there are no big scenes between them. Love scenes don't stand a chance as the story unfolds over medical malpractice. Sri Vidya's character was in a coma and did not get a chance to act. Arya was the only one who had to bear the burden of the film. Teddy Bear's character is impressive.
