Sol de Medianoche, the book that tells Twilight from Edward Cullen's point of view, hits Spanish bookstores on September 17. In the United States, on the other hand, it is available from August 4 and that has allowed us to know some moments of the beginning of the love story written by Stephenie Meyer getting into the head of the vampire. We recently told you the dark thoughts of the protagonist in one of his first encounters with Bella. Now, thanks to a Twitter user, we can find out what the vampire was doing while his future wife slept - in Meyer's universe vampires don't sleep - and he sneaked into her room to watch her.

As you can read in the excerpts featured by user @galacticidiots, Edward not only stares at Bella all night, he also kills the spiders in her room. "I reached for it with a finger and crushed it silently," relates Midnight Sun. The vampire acknowledges that he carried out this action because "the thought that anything could harm her was intolerable."

But the protagonist not only eliminated these arachnids, but he also explains that he brought "oil to grease the mechanism" from Bella's window so that he could sneak into her room without making noise. Finally, he stared at Bella while she slept and listened to her murmur in her sleep about the characters in the book that she had been reading during the day. In the chapter highlighted by the Twitter user, the protagonist was dreaming of Edmund Bertram, the protagonist of the novel written by Jane Austen Mansfield Park.
Twilight and the rest of the novels of the saga written by Meyer were adapted to the big screen in five installments - New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn - Part 1 and Breaking Dawn - Part 2 - and starred Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson as the protagonists.
