Universal Pictures stopped production of Jurassic World: Dominion on Friday due to the current coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19). The film recently revealed its full title and promised to show many images of its filming on social networks, however, the team has decided to stop production to prevent any risk of contact.

Jurassic World: Dominion, the third entry in the new trilogy that continues the 1993 Jurassic Park saga, had been filming in London since February. According to Variety, filming has been delayed indefinitely and it is unclear at the moment whether its set release date, June 2021, will also be affected.

The film, directed and co-written by Colin Trevorrow, brings together actors from the films Jurassic World and Jurassic Park, including Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum. We recently learned that he would bring back two characters from the first installment, Jake Johnson and Omar Sy, in the roles of Lowery Cruthers and Barry Sembene, respectively.

Universal also halted production of two other live-action films, the sports film Ice Cube Flint Strong and the Billy Eichner film, formerly known as Bros.
Chris Pratt compared this new installment of the Jurassic saga with Avengers: Endgame, saying that "it is the sensation that is going to give. I am not allowed to say anything ... Everyone is there. Practically everyone will be. Maybe I am messing up, but I don't care. The entire cast of the original movie is back. It's going to be like Endgame was bringing all the Marvel characters together. "
