Superstar Rajinikanth's film Darbar has been a hit in Tamil Nadu. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film did not succeed in the Telugu states. The distributors also lost. But the Tamil Nadu government is assisting the distributors of the loss, says Minister Kadambur Raju.
The movie Darbar starring Rajinikanth and Nayanthara was released worldwide on January 10. Production company Lyca Productions has announced that the film will be a blockbuster hit, earning around Rs 150 crore. But the latest news is that the distributor has suffered losses. Some distributors who have been buying the film for a week now say they have been prevented by the police if they go to meet Rajinikanth because they have been damaged.

However, Minister Kadambur Raju assures that the Tamil Nadu government will help those who have been harmed by the Darbar film. Raju said the government had appointed a special officer for the affected distributors as there was no support from the producers' association. He said he would lead if the officer brought the issue to the attention of the distributors.

Rajinikanth's Craze Darbar has won the film. Rajinikanth cinema floppings in Tamil Nadu is not history. Rajinikanth is creating a tremendous hype, no matter how the film acted. That is why his films are well received in Tamil Nadu and Malaysia. But Telugu audiences are not. No matter how big a hero played in the film, the film can not be promoted. This is why many cinema analysts feel that the Darbar film is not sustainable in Telugu states.
