In front of the "Fast & Furious 9" trailer: a teaser for the penultimate part of the action series
The first long trailer for "Fast & Furious 9" will be released on Friday in advance of the Super Bowl 2020. Before that, there is a little foretaste of the action sequel with a teaser trailer.
After there was a spin-off detour with "Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw" in 2019, the "Fast & Furious" main series will finally continue this year. To fuel the anticipation for "Fast & Furious 9", the full trailer for the PS actioner will be released this Friday, January 31, 2020, as part of a major concert event in Miami. As a foretaste of this, Universal has already posted a first look at the highly anticipated sequel.
FAMILY INSTEAD OF ACTION IN TEASER TRAILER
In the teaser, however, you apparently deliberately do without action scenes and instead rely on the second major pillar of the series: Family. So we see Dom (Vin Diesel) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) together with their son Brian (named after the figure of the late Paul Walker) in the idyllic country life.
But that this is only the calm before the storm is already hinted at when Letty hands Dom's cross-chain over to her for "protection from what comes". We'll see what exactly awaits them in the trailer on Friday, but definitely soon on the big screen.
CINEMA RELEASE IN MAY 2020
"Fast & Furious 9" will be released in cinemas on May 21, 2020. In addition to Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez, Charlize Theron, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, and Helen Mirren will also return. The most prominent newcomer to the cast is meanwhile John Cena. The presumably penultimate part of the series was staged again by “Fast & Furious 3-6” director Justin Lin.
