Keanu Reeves and Laurence Fishburne give life, respectively, to the protagonist and Bowery King in the saga about the murderer.
The best killer of the big screen will return in John Wick 4 and the fourth installment could mean the reunion on the big screen of more actors of the Matrix saga. Keanu Reeves gives life to the protagonist in the franchise directed by Chad Stahelski and Laurence Fishburne to Bowery King. In the trilogy - which in the future will become a tetralogy - of the sisters Lana and Lilly Wachowski, Reeves is Neo and Fishburne is Morpheus, but what about adding Carrie-Anne Moss or Hugo Weaving to that combo?
Stahelski, director of the three installments of John Wick and the future fourth film of the franchise, has acknowledged at CBM that he and Reeves have flirted with the idea of signing Moss or Weaving. "You know, Keanu and I talked a lot about where we want to go. We weren't done with John Wick 3 and we already had this great plan on how to get to John Wick 4. It's something we're continually thinking about and trying not to force things. We don't want to include an actor to be a 'gag' and for the story to unfold around that, "the director begins.
In short, for Stahelski it is more important than the character be good and organic for the story than to prioritize the 'fan-service'. "If we create great characters and, you know, it makes sense in my head to put Carrie-Anne Moss or Hugo Weaving or any of our Matrix partners and it works and they are interested, it is always a positive thing because they are friends and I think they are excellent performers. So, it remains to be seen, "he concludes.
We will have to wait to see if we see another actor from Matrix in John Wick, but what is official is that Matrix will continue on the big screen with a fourth installment that will feature Reeves, Moss and Lana Wachowski. The latter in the direction and script.
The last time we saw the killer on the big screen was after falling from the top of the Continental Hotel after being betrayed - or has it been a ploy by Wilson (Ian McShane) to fool the High Table? - and allying with Bowery King of face to John Wick 4. For now, the fourth installment does not yet have a release date.
