From 'Joker', León de Oro 2019, to 'Madre', by Rodrigo Sorogoyen: complete list of titles and release dates.
The 76th Venice Film Festival has concluded crowning the Joker, Todd Phillips and Joaquin Phoenix with the Golden Lion for the best film of the contest. This is the first film based on superhero material that achieves an award of this category in a first-order festival and a historic milestone that will undoubtedly mark the near future of this production of DC Comics and Warner Bros.
With the complete program of La Biennale and the medal winners in hand, it is possible to review now which of the participating films will reach the rooms and when their release dates are scheduled, both of the Joker, brand new Golden Lion 2019, as of the official and the spy, by Roman Polanski; de Madre, the feature film by Rodrigo Sorogoyen, awarded in Orizzonti for the work of its leading actress, Marta Nieto; or of films that have not entered the medallist, such as The Red Wasp, by Olivier Assayas and with Penelope Cruz. It remains to be determined whether About Endlessness, by Roy Andersson, and if Martin Eden, by Pietro Marcello, will end up passing through our commercial rooms. In any case, these are currently the films of the Venice Film Festival 2019 that will be seen in our country:
