Netflix once again put together a decent movie package for you. Since today, the sci-fi masterpiece "Matrix" as well as the sequels "Matrix Reloaded" and "Matrix Revolutions" are available for download on the streaming platform.
"Matrix" from 1999 is undoubtedly one of the films whose name almost everyone knows - even if he has never seen a cinema from within. And that's good because the film of the Wachowski siblings is an absolute masterpiece of action and sci-fi film. For example, he appears again and again in many of our FILM STARTS top lists, and even ranks among the 100 best films of all time!
Everyone should have seen "Matrix". If you do not have it yet (or just want to see it again), then Netflix gives you the chance: Starting today (August 11, 2019) he will be available on the streaming platform. And then you can also look at the two sequels "Matrix Reloaded" and "Matrix Revolutions", which are now also available at Netflix.
WILL THE "MATRIX" SEQUELS WORRY?
While the first "Matrix" movie with Keanu Reeves as Neo, Carrie-Anne Moss as Trinity and Laurence Fishburne as Morpheus is a well-recognized masterpiece, the sequels of 2003 split the fan base. While everyone says that they can not hold up to the original, many hate it passionately. Worth "Matrix 2 & 3" so? We say very clearly: yes!
So "Matrix Reloaded" got a strong 4 out of 5 stars because it "does not match the originality of the first part" (as well as?) And oblivious to the Wachowskis in their quest to top it all to focus on the core content of the story ", but he is still" without doubt a strong piece of sci-fi action cinema ".
And also "Matrix Revolutions", which you will see anyway due to the massive cliffhanger at the end of the second part, has received a good rating from us. 3.5 out of 5 stars, because in Part 3 we also saw "furious action paired with sense and intellect" and thus at least a fairly dignified conclusion to the "Matrix" trilogy.
Incidentally, it is also clear that it will not stay with three "Matrix" films: Presumably in the first half of 2020, the shooting of "Matrix 4" should start. However, this is then neither a prequel, nor another sequel, but a whole new story in the same universe tell. The lead actor Michael B. Jordan ("Creed") then inherits lead actor Keanu Reeves, but at least the Wachowski siblings should be back on board.
