The 'Guardians of the Galaxy' actor will match Vin Diesel again.

A few busy years ahead of Michael Rooker. The actor known for having played Yondu in Guardians of the Galaxy has left behind the world of Marvel superheroes to become part of the Fast & Furious action universe. According to Deadline, the interpreter has signed for the ninth installment of the franchise in a last-minute decision, since production is already under development.

Rooker will give life to Buddy, a character whose nothing is known apart from the name. This means that the actor will return to work with Vin Diesel, of which he was already a partner in the Guardians saga, where Diesel puts a voice to Groot. However, we assume that now they will share more scenes in front of the cameras and there will not be so much dubbing room.

It is not the last incorporation that has been in the distribution of the tape. Francis Ngannou, a mixed martial arts fighter, also participates in the new installment and, like Rooker, the details of his character have not yet been revealed. John Cena, more and more settled in his role as an actor, is another of the new faces we will see in the sequel, along with old acquaintances such as Charlize Theron or Helen Mirren and veteran members such as Michelle Rodriguez or Tyrese Gibson.

Meanwhile, fans of the action can enjoy Hobbs & Shaw on the big screen. The spin-off starring Jason Statham and Dwayne Johnson has shown that the expansion works, as it is breaking audience records.
