At the Disney fair D23, the new MCU superhero troop "Eternals" was first presented to the public. Now we know who plays them and what they will look like. At the same time, there was also a confident announcement to the Avengers!
Now, for the first time, they have publicly presented themselves in front of pictures of their costumed heroes: Angelina Jolie (then Thena), Richard Madden (as Ikaris), Salma Hayek (as Ajak), Brian Tyree Henry (as Phaistos), Gemma Chan (as Sersi ), Kumail Nanjiani (as Kingo), Lia McHugh (as Sprite), Barry Keoghan (as Druid), Dong-Seok Ma (as Gilgamesh) and Lauren Ridloff (as Makkari) are the eponymous superhero troupe in the MCU blockbuster "Eternals "By" The Rider "director ChloƩ Zhao, who will start in German cinemas on 5 November 2020.
But of course, the actors were not just presented on stage by Marvel mastermind Kevin Feige. Where ever they were there, they then gave plenty of interviews on the Red Carpet. Henry, Nanjiani, Ridloff, and Keoghan were asked by the industry magazine Variety, what should be so special about the Eternals, after all, the MCU already has two superhero teams with the Avengers and the Guardians Of The Galaxy?
However, the answer is pleasantly quick-witted: after all, the Avengers would only have saved humanity and the universe from time to time, whereas the Eternals would have created humanity and the universe in the first place. Accordingly, the Eternals would not only be the true legends, without the Eternals there would be neither the Avengers nor the Guardians at all. Of course, the logic is hard to shake
Also nice, how dry Nanjani does not ask for gratitude from Peter Quill aka Starlord, but from "Chris Pratt's character". Of course, we do not know if Nanjiani's name was actually dropped at the moment or if he deliberately made the sentence a bit condescending - but a first gauntlet is definitely thrown. Therefore, we can well imagine that a little bit of mutual dissension between the now three superhero forces in marketing for "Eternals" will certainly play a role.
